Better analytics/dashboards for Heroku (🗒Raw Notes)

Heroku is down, but it's not out. Docker started charging for Docker Desktop and now they make $50MM ARR.

Heroku started their "next chapter", which meant removing their free tier, however improving their platform is going to take time -- there's opportunity in doing it before they do.

The Heroku dashboard is good, but isn't optimized for how it's used and hasn't changed in a long time.

Streamline the Heroku dashboard, give it a visual refresh (and reorganization), and you'd massively improve the lives of companies on Heroku.

Heroku now has a public roadmap. You'll know if they ever start building a better dashboard (they don't have any such thing planned), and in the meantime you know that the customers left on Heroku are the kind that are ready to spend.

NOTE Rather than trying to build this as a web extension, it's probably better to build a completely separate desktop app (with something like Tauri for example) -- essentially a Docker Desktop for Heroku.
